Childsafe

Click the childsafe logo to access their website.

Childsafe is a safety management system. It is designed for organisations working with children and young people, and provides an integrated system of safety and care at all levels. It is a lot more than a safety manual or a set of policies - but incorporates both of these.

The childsafe project assists Christian organisations to obtain and use the Childsafe system, either 'as is' by purchasing materials 'off the shelf', or by obtaining a license to customise the system. Large organisations will want to adapt Childsafe to specific organisational requirements and context.

Adventure Training

The SUACT Training Institute offers courses in abseiling, horizontal and vertical caving to those who are eager to lead on SUACT's outdoor adventure camps.  This training equips participants with theoretical and practical knowledge of the skills required to lead and assist with these activities in such roles as Activity Leader, Co-Leader and Bottom Belayer.  The training covers participants to lead on SUACT camps only and at the sites used by the camps for a period of 3 years.  Please note: these courses are not VETAB nationally accredited courses.
